Christina Hollwarth
Bio
Family Law Attorney in Longview, TX
As so many Texans say, “I wasn’t born here, but I got here as fast as I could!” Christina considers herself a Longview native, having lived here since the age of three. A 1996 Longview High School graduate, she earned her Bachelor of Arts in political science with a minor in Bible from Abilene Christian University. She received her Juris Doctor from Texas Tech University School of Law in 2003 and was admitted to practice law in Texas that same year. In 2018, she sat for and passed the Board Certification Exam, and she has the honor of being one of only 825 Board Certified Family Law lawyers in the State of Texas.
After moving west for undergrad and law school, Christina couldn’t wait to return to the Piney Woods, where she has practiced law since 2003, opening her own private family law practice in 2005. In 2007, she completed training to serve as a mediator in civil cases, family law cases, and cases involving Child Protective Services.
If you spend any time with Christina, you’ll quickly see how much she loves practicing family law; however, in her down time, she also loves dabbling in interior decorating. Take a moment to look around our office and enjoy her touches on everything from the calming colors to the beautiful art she’s procured from local artists throughout the world. Being in a lawyer’s office is always intimidating, so we want you to feel at ease and at home from your first step through our doors.
According to her Facebook profile – which hasn’t been updated in an embarrassingly long time – Christina loves Jesus, her husband and children, high heels, knock-knock jokes, and wine. No matter how outdated that bio is, it remains accurate. Christina and her husband, Kyle, are members of Longview Christian Church, have been married since 2001 (and still really like each other!), and are the parents to two college-age children. Christina’s known for her high heels at the courthouse – and has even been spotted sprinting through the halls in them when a judge calls their docket early. While we don’t encourage her love of knock-knock jokes, we are amused at how she cracks herself up. Her favorite wine is champagne, and please don’t ask if champagne is wine unless you want a lecture on French laws and the definition of wine.
